Traveling at an average of 4m/sec, it takes approximately 9 minutes to reach the summit station from the ground station.

With almost 400 years of history, Tongyeong Jungang Market is a popular tourist spot in the city of Tongyeong. As the market is located close to the coastline, fresh fish and dried fish make up a huge part of the market’s offerings. You can also find other Korean traditional goods such as mother-of-pearl inlaid wares, quilted products, and rice cakes.

In front of the market is Gangguan Port, where a turtle ship (geobukseon) and fishing boats are docked. The spacious cultural venue called Munhwa Madang is quite reminiscent of Byeongseon Madang, a place for anchoring or mooring warships in the past.

Dongpirang Village

The word “Dongpirang” is made of “Dong”, meaning east, and “Birang”, meaning hill in a Tongyeong dialect.

Tongyeong Agenda 21, an association in Tongyeong, gathered people throughout the nation to paint murals on the walls of Dongpirang-gil Street. Hi there, here is more tip for you. Seoul is Korea’s capital city but there are lots of attractive city except Seoul like Busan, Jeonju, Singyeongju etc. so I strongly recommend you to visit those cities too if you have any chance. For going to other city in Korea, KTX is the fastest and the most convenient way. KTX is high-speed train and you can buy a ticket from any KTX station(Seoul station is main station). Also there is ‘Korail pass’, if you purchase this pass, you can take all KTX lines, so it will be very helpful for your out of Seoul traveling journey. If you are interested in these all information, please visit to Korail homepage ‘http://www.letskorail.com/ebizbf/EbizBfKrPassAbout.do’. Thank you.
