BEST 5 Restaurants in Ikseon-dong

Did you ever go to Ikseon-dong(익선동)?  There is a Ikseon-dong Hanok Viallage (익선동 한옥 마을) and it’s a hidden place between Jongro-3 ga station(종로3가) and Anguk station (안국), a place that mix of traditional and modern.

1. Gyeongyangsik 1920 (경양식 1920)

1920 is the year that Korea government made Ikseon-dong Hanok Village and Gyeongyangsik 1920 is a trendy restaurant in a traditional Hanok (한옥) with pink curtains and chairs, which attract a lot of Korean girls coming here.

The Hamburg Steak and Fried Pork Chop with Spicy Tomato Sauce are the most popular menus here. All the dishes and the decor of the restaurants bring you back to the old Korea!

2. Changhwa Dang (창화당)

If you want to try French home meal, I would like to recommend La Blanseu to you. The price of the menus are reasonable and the decor of it is really special since it was a Hanok but they mixed modern French style.

4. Gochangjip고창집

I think it is really hard for most of the tourists to find traditional restaurants like Gochangjip because normally the real delicious restaurants in Korea will not appear on tourist guide book and the interior itself looks really old.  Gochangjip opened in 1991, which means they opened for almost 30 years!
