Samgyetang‘, or Ginseng chicken soup, is one of Korean famous traditional cuisines. The name ‘Samgyetang’ came from Korean words ‘삼계탕’, with 삼(Sam) stands for ginseng, 계(gye) for chicken and 탕(tang) for soup. It’s made of a whole young chicken stuffed with rice, Korean ginseng, and other ingredients such as jujube, chestnuts, garlic, all boiled together out of chicken soup.

Hot and boiling as it is, Samgyetang is more a seasonal food in summer for most Koreans. It is widely believed that having Samgyetang in the hottest time of a year is good for your health in Korean medicine, cause this warmness from inside helps drive away the heat from the outside.

Today BnBHero will take you to three most famous Samgyetang restaurants of Seoul, Tosokchon Samgyetang, Korea Samgyetang, and Lake Samgyetang!! Let’s go!!
